Parking & Access
Miami Moving-Truck Parking, Loading Zones & Building Access
The correct truck-staging plan depends on the exact pickup address. City of Miami curb programs do not automatically apply in Miami Beach, Coral Gables, Doral, Aventura, or other independent municipalities. Building rules can add another layer on top of local parking rules.
Before move day, confirm the legal staging location, walking distance, stair count, elevator availability, garage clearance, loading entrance, move hours, and any property-management requirements. Give those details to Coastal before carrier assignment whenever possible.

City of Miami Smart Loading Zones
Miami Parking Authority currently operates Smart Loading Zones at 16 citywide locations. Approved commercial vehicles use CurbPass, and the program limits Smart Loading Zone stays to 30 minutes. These zones are for active commercial loading and unloading.

Miami Beach Uses Separate Loading Rules
Miami Beach has its own Freight Loading Zone, Commercial Loading Zone, and Alley Loading programs. Freight Loading Zones are designated for commercial vehicles over 10,000 pounds and require the applicable permit or payment described by the city.

Condo and Property Rules Are Address-Specific
Some managed properties require a Certificate of Insurance, elevator reservation, loading appointment, security clearance, or restricted move hours. Ask the property manager for the current requirements rather than assuming they apply to every Miami building.

Do Not Treat “Miami” as One Parking Jurisdiction
Miami-Dade County contains 34 incorporated municipalities. Miami Beach, Coral Gables, Doral, Aventura, Pinecrest, Key Biscayne, Sunny Isles Beach, and other cities have their own municipal governments. The pickup address determines which local rules should be checked.

Before move day: Ask the property where the carrier may legally stage, reserve any required elevator or loading area, provide garage clearance and access instructions, and send building paperwork requirements before pickup.
