From Frustration to Foundation: The Story Behind Coastal Moving Services

Every company starts with an idea, but for Coastal Moving Services, that idea began with a personal experience. Back in 2017, I moved from Fort Lauderdale to Boca Raton, Florida. Like many others, I hired a moving company, expecting a smooth, stress-free process. The move itself went fine, but once my items were loaded, communication vanished.

I couldn’t reach anyone to confirm if my belongings had made it to storage, when they’d be delivered, or even what time frame to expect. The movers were kind, hardworking people but it became clear that the company’s customer support was almost nonexistent. There was no bridge between the people doing the heavy lifting and the people who trusted them with their homes. That disconnect left a lasting impression and sparked an idea.

In 2018, my close friend and I founded Coastal Moving Services to fill that gap. My goal was simple: to create a moving brokerage that prioritizes **communication and trust** as much as the move itself. We would be the link between customers and carriers, ensuring that every question gets answered, every concern gets addressed, and every move stays transparent from start to finish.

Over the years, we’ve grown from a small Florida-based operation into a nationwide network connecting customers with reliable, carefully vetted carriers. We’ve seen firsthand that clear communication can turn one of life’s most stressful experiences into one of its smoothest transitions. And while technology plays a role in our efficiency, it’s our people and our relationships that truly define us.
